So far, we've decided to get married - the first step toward planning a wedding, right? *grin*  We've also chosen mint green and navy blue as our colors. We are still in the process of figuring out where we will be married, and we've yet to apply for a marriage license but will be doing that in the coming month or so. Billy's mother, Bobbi, has printed our "Save the Date" cards, which we will be sending out very soon. We are still gathering addresses for everyone. I think I've found just the right dress :-D but haven't ordered it yet - still shopping around a bit. Though, the one I'm favoring right now is B-E-A-U-tiful! ~ Erin

January 18, 2007 - Oh my goodness gracious! Who thought planning a wedding could be so tough??? We've run into dead ends everywhere trying to find somewhere to get married, so what we're looking at now is two options: 1) renting the VFW for the wedding and reception, 2) visiting a church here in the area and asking about getting married in the church, with guests following Billy's parents afterwards to the VFW for the reception while the wedding party takes a limo or something of that nature. Soooo...what's neat about the VFW is it dresses up really nicely lol It has endless possibilities for decorations. PLUS - there's a bar (and we don't have to pay the bartender lol)! Only catch to the bar is guests must buy their own drinks. Sorry guys - we can't contribute to your stress-relievers LOL ~ Erin

February 4, 2007 - Well, we decided to go ahead and have the wedding and reception both at the VFW, with the cash bar (guests paying for their own), but we will have punch and probably sodas that will be free of course. It can be set up pretty nicely. The dart boards and such will be covered up with a sheet with pictures or paintings or something like that on them. We haven't spoken to the lady who's decorating for us yet, but we will decide with her exactly how to set things up. We still haven't heard from the DJ Billy's mom had spoken to, that's still not completely decided. I've STILL got to go around and try to find somewhere to get my hair and nails done, and I want to try to go to a wedding store to actually try on dresses so I have a better idea of exactly what size I will need, etc. I'm hoping to lose weight before then blah lol We all know how that goes right? Anyway, time's running short it seems and it'll be here before we know it, but we'll keep you posted as we figure out more details! ~ Erin

March 25, 2007 - Wow, it's been a while since we updated huh? Let me see if I can catch you all up. We have the cake ordered....YAY!!! I would describe it, but that would just ruin the surprise, wouldn't it? *grin* I STILL haven't ordered my dress - had a slight change in plans, but will get it soon! Billy and I had facials with a Mary Kay consultant about a week and a half ago and it was awesome! She's teaching me how to do my own makeup JUST RIGHT for the wedding so I don't have to go pay an arm and a leg to get it done. I'm thinking about doing my own hair, too. Won't be hard. I've been doing it for several years now *grin* (Speaking of my hair, it's about 6 inches below my back now! Man it's grown so much so fast!) We'll get our marriage license while Billy's on vacation the first two weeks of April. Anyway, that's just about the only new information we have for now, but I'll try to keep it updated a little more frequently from here on out. We're both so excited and SO nervous...well, okay, I'm nervous *snicker* ~ Erin

May 18, 2007 - We got our marriage license last month. Yay! One more step completed! I got my dress Wednesday, but it's being altered. I FINALLY got it! One of Billy's mother's friends had three dresses (not sure why though lol) and one of em was just absolutely gorgeous. Great deal, too. It's a $4000ish dress that well, is only costing us the alterations. I'm very greatful to her for that. I can't wait to see how it looks when it's finished. Getting the sleeves cut off of it now (no way I can wear long sleeves in July!) and getting it sized a bit. Then have to get it cleaned and possibly hemmed and a bustle put in. But other than that, I can't wait to try it on again!

Anyway, things are slowly falling into place. We'll be getting the actual invitations sent out in the next week hopefully. I know they're a little later than they should be, but we're getting there. Taking it all a step at the time. My mom's been helping quite a bit financially, so has my brother, which is awesome. Thank you both so much!!! July 9, 2007 - Hi everyone!! Thank you to all who attended our wedding and to those who sent cards/gifts!!!!!! The wedding went pretty smoothly.  Billy almost crushed my hands during the vows, so if he tells you he wasn't nervous, he's fibbing LOL Anyway, everything went well. It hasn't completely sunk in that we're married, but I'm sure we'll get used to it soon enough :-) Thank you all again!
